Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Roono is built by raastey. This policy describes what happens to your data when you use Roono on Mac, iPhone, or iPad.

The short version

Roono does not require an account. Your projects are stored on your device and, if you enable it, synced privately through your own iCloud account. Roono does not operate servers that store your manuscripts, sources, or Vault contents, and does not sell or share your data with third parties.

What Roono stores, and where

Agents you connect

Roono lets you connect a supported third-party agent (for example, an AI coding or writing assistant) using your own account or API key. If you choose to do this:

Analytics and tracking

Roono does not include analytics, tracking, or telemetry by default. If measurement is introduced in a future version, the events collected and their privacy impact will be documented here before that change ships, and it will not apply retroactively without disclosure.

Children's privacy

Roono is a professional writing tool and is not directed at children. Roono does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your control over your data

Because your projects live on your own device and your own iCloud account, you control export, deletion, and retention directly. Deleting a project from your device (and from iCloud, if synced) removes it. There is no raastey-held copy to separately request deletion of, outside of standard Apple App Store transaction records that Apple retains under its own policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change and, for material changes, the update will be noted in the app's release notes.
